All components are released under the BSD license (you will find a file named "COPYING" within the packages) which makes that software free software.
Sytem requirements
Ocean Empire is completely written in Python using the Pygame library. Thus you will need at least
- Python (>=2.3)
- Pygame (>=1.7.1)
- the dependencies of those both packages

The .asc files can be used to verify, that the packages are not modified by third people. You can use this GPG key, with which the packages were signed.
Currently are no downloads for Ocean Empire available, because nothing is really finished at the moment. If you want to take a look at the current stage, please use a copy of the current cvs version.
